Light in a hallway without a dropped ceiling
A recessed spotlight is often not an option in a hallway: there is no dropped ceiling, and you are not going to cut a hole in the concrete or wooden floor above your head. This surface-mounted ceiling light is designed to be mounted directly against the ceiling. It is only 7 cm deep and available in Ø 10.5 cm (9W), Ø 14 cm (12W), Ø 16 cm (18W) or Ø 18 cm (21W). The smallest version is barely larger than a light switch. Choose the light color for each variant: warm white 3000K, neutral white 4000K or cool white 6000K. Iron housing with acrylic diffuser, in matte black or white.
Why it works in a hallway
- Surface-mounted installation: no hole in the ceiling required, making it suitable for concrete, a wooden floor above or a rental property.
- Just 7 cm deep: it protrudes very little, so it does not feel low or bulky in a narrow hallway.
- Four diameters from 10.5 to 18 cm: choose based on the width of the hallway and how much light you need.
- 9 to 21W depending on size: 9W is enough for a short hallway; for a long hallway with multiple lights, choose 18 or 21W.
- Three color temperatures: 3000K for a warm hallway, 4000K for neutral lighting in a passageway, 6000K if it is also used as a workspace.
- Integrated LED: no bulb socket, so you never have to use a ladder to change a bulb in a narrow hallway.
- Iron and acrylic, matte black or white: matte rather than glossy, so you do not see reflections from the ceiling light.
- IP20 and 220-240V: for dry indoor spaces; installation by a qualified electrician.
How many lights in a hallway
As a rule, allow for one light point every two to two and a half meters of hallway length; with fewer, you will get dark patches between the lights. This means that for a five-meter hallway, it is better to install two or three small lights of Ø 10.5 or Ø 14 cm than one large light in the middle, because even light distribution matters more than maximum output from a single point. Choose the same color temperature as in the adjoining rooms; otherwise, the difference will stand out in the passageway. The light is surface-mounted and connected to 220-240V by a qualified electrician, so decide on the number and positions before the electrician arrives.

We kiezen voor tijdloze vormen en eerlijke materialen. Geen gedwongen stijl — het past in moderne ruimtes en oudere interieurs omdat het functioneel is, niet omdat het een statement wil maken.
Welke lichtbron heb ik nodig?
Staat bij het product: fitting (E27, E14, GU10, etc.) en maximum wattage. Kies zelf warm of koel licht — dat bepaalt de sfeer. We adviseren LED voor lagere kosten en langere levensduur.
Ondersteunt deze lamp dimfunctionaliteit?
Hangt af van het model en de lichtbron. Staat altijd bij het product vermeld. Als het dimbaar is, zeggen we dat. Als niet, ook. Geen vage "mogelijk dimbaar" antwoorden.
Hoe kies ik het juiste formaat en de juiste plaatsing?
Boven een eettafel: 60-75cm boven het blad werkt meestal. Te laag = je ziet niks, te hoog = verliest z'n functie. Voor andere ruimtes: afmetingen staan bij het product, meet je ruimte op, check of het past. Dat is alles.
Komen kleur en materiaal overeen met de foto's?
We fotograferen met natuurlijk licht, zonder filters. Wat je ziet is wat je krijgt. Bedenk wel: de gekozen lichtbron beïnvloedt hoe de lamp eruitziet — warm wit geeft een andere sfeer dan koel wit.
Is de installatie eenvoudig?
Tafel- en vloerlampen: in het stopcontact, klaar. Wand- en plafondlampen: standaard montage, duidelijke instructies. Als je geen ervaring hebt met elektra, schakel een elektricien in — dat is gewoon verstandig.
Wat wordt er precies meegeleverd?
Staat bij het product vermeld. Soms is de lichtbron inbegrepen, soms niet. We zijn eerlijk over wat erbij zit en wat je zelf moet regelen — geen verrassingen bij het uitpakken.
